Good Evening All,
Yep, I know. I missed a week! I’ve jumped from the 15th to the 28th on my WWW Wednesday posts and I am slightly disappointed in myself. Life is a little hectic for me at the moment and I just couldn’t find the time to post last week. I’m struggling for time this week also, but I am determined to get at least a short post in. That said, I have actually managed to get at least some reading done since my last post, so I do actually have books to talk about!
This is a weekly feature run by Taking on a World of Words whereby you blog answering the following 3 questions;
- What are you currently reading?
- What have you recently read?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
All you have to do is answer the questions and post a link to your post in the comments on Sam’s post. Easy Peasy and fun right? How can one resist.
What are you currently reading?
Shock horror, I’ve actually stuck to my “what do you think you’ll read next” and I’m currently reading The Perfect Girlfriend by Karen Hamilton. I was given this book as an ARC for review and I’m very happy that I was. I’m thoroughly enjoying this book. It definitely has had me worried that there are people out there like the main character Juliette. I’m about 85% of the way through this so a full review will be posted shortly…and it will definitely be a goody!
On top of this, I’m listening to an audio book at the moment also. I had a short break from audio books but decided to jump back on it over the last few days as I’ve been driving an awful lot. So I got into Foreign Fruit by Jojo Moyes. I’m a big Jojo Moyes fan and she has so many books that I haven’t read so every now and again I like to pick a random one. I’m about half way through this and so far so good. It’s one of those books where Part Two starts and it’s a completely different storyline with different characters so looking forward to how the two parts come together.
What have you recently read?
I finished Stay With Me by Ayobami Adebayo and gave it a well deserved 4 stars. I won’t ramble on too much about this one as you can read my review here if you’re interested, but I have to say this was such a different style of book for me to read and I was really impressed with it. It’s storyline stuck with me and I’ve thought about it a lot since I finished.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m struggling with this one this week. I am slightly behind my book club and I am yet to read the BOTM (although I have read the side read…nothing like doing things backwards). So I would quite like to catch up. But I have two ARC’s waiting for review so I think I’ll have to get those done first. To be logical, I’ll start with the one I received first which is Suicide Club by Rachel Heng. It’s an adult science fiction book which is not typically my genre of choice for some reason, as the handful that I have read, I’ve really enjoyed. So I’m looking forward to giving this a shot.
That’s that. A WWW Wednesday post completed and I am feeling very pleased with myself that I took the time out to write this post. I haven’t been giving my blog enough love as of late and it’s something that I love doing, so now I feel good!
We have some heavy snow forecast in the UK over the coming days, so hopefully I get snowed in which is the perfect excuse to get lots of reading done right? And lots of reading equals more blog posts! Perfect!
Hope you all have a fab reading week!
