Yep, you read correctly, this is a WWW Thursday post. With yesterday being Valentines Day, I didn’t get a chance to sit down and write my post. I didn’t want to miss a week so I thought I’d mix it up and write my post today.
This is a weekly feature run by Taking on a World of Words whereby you blog answering the following 3 questions;
- What are you currently reading?
- What have you recently read?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
All you have to do is answer the questions and post a link to your post in the comments on Sam’s post. Easy Peasy and fun right? How can one resist.
What are you currently reading?
This was my currently reading last week, but it was kind of a cop out currently reading as I was only starting it on the day that I posted. Now I’ve actually started, I feel far more honest! Stay With Me by Ayobami Adebayo has gripped me right from the start. I don’t have any connection with the culture of the characters in the book but that only means that I’m so interested in reading more. I’ve not reached the mountain scene with the goat yet but can’t wait to report back on what that involves.
What have you recently read?
Someone grab some balloons, sound the fanfare, she’s managed to finish this book!! I’ve been ploughing away at My Husband’s Wife by Jane Corry for the last few weeks, as my regular readers will already know. Well, I finally finished. Let me make it clear though, I didn’t drag my heals with this one because of the book, it was purely down to getting other books done that I prioritised on top of work, on top of getting surgery and on top of life in general. I personally thought that this was a pretty decent thriller. It didn’t change my world, but it was good and enjoyable. I gave this 3 stars in the end and you can read my full review here.
What do you think you’ll read next?
The Perfect Girlfriend by Karen Hamilton has been given to me as an ARC. I’ll be getting into this next in order to get my review posted as soon as possible. I don’t like to keep hold of ARC’s for too long without posting a review. I do usually prioritise these reads, however because of how busy I’ve been recently, I don’t want to get into multiple books at one time. Therefore I’ll dive straight into this once I’m done with Stay With Me. I do love a good thriller, so I’m hoping this lives up to the good early reviews that I’ve read.
And there we have it, a WWW Thursday! May be controversial or frowned upon, maybe I should have invented a TTT Thursday for the occasion, but I love writing my WWW Wednesday posts and I didn’t want to miss out.
Give me a like if you enjoyed catching up on my reading this week. Drop me a comment if you have read or would like to read any of the books in my post; lets chat! Have a look around at my blog posts if you want to read any of my reviews.
Happy reading all!
