10th Jan – Introductory WWW Wednesday

Happy hump day all!!

I spotted WWW Wednesday on a blog I follow (FloralReads) and decided it looked fun…I WANT IN.

It’s a weekly feature run by Taking on a World of Words whereby you blog answering the following 3 questions;

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What have you recently read?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

All you have to do is answer the questions and post a link to your post in the comments on Sam’s post. Easy Peasy and fun right? How can one resist. So here goes…!

What are you currently reading?

3427323631434883I have two books that I am reading at the moment; well one that I am reading and one that I am listening to. Eleanor Elephant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman and Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. Both quite different from one another, but I’m really enjoying both. I’m unsure if Gail Honeyman’s book is supposed to be funny but boy is it making me giggle. Little Fires Everywhere is one of those books where the story is all starting to come together now towards the end, and I cannot wait for my work commute tomorrow morning to get to the final conclusion. You can find more info about both books on Goodreads here;

What have you recently read?

6114607I decided to choose my last book of 2017; The Midwife: A Memoir of Birth, Joy and Hard Times by Jennifer Worth. If you’re not in the UK, I’m unsure if you’ll have heard of Call The Midwife, but it’s a BBC drama that’s been going for quite some time now and it’s awesome. It’s about a group of midwives in East End London in the 1950’s. Its funny, emotional, dramatic and such an easy going watch. I haven’t watched every season, but once I realised that it was based on Jennifer Worth’s books I had to dive in and read. The book(s) are just as entertaining as the dramatisation and I would definitely recommend them! Read more here;

What do you think you’ll read next?

27824826I have had The Dry by Jane Harper on my to-read list for a few months now and I am determined to get this read next. My boyfriend and I both have copies of this book and have been saving it for a buddy read, but for one reason or another just haven’t been in-sync enough to get it started, so if he’s not ready, I’ll be ploughing on without him. The Dry was recommended to me by a work colleague and was sold to me as “un-put-downable” (yep, that’s a word) and I love books that make you want to devour them in one sitting so looking forward to starting. You can read the summary for this book on Goodreads;

Well….that was fun! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first WWW Wednesday. Going to go and scope out some other WWW Wednesday posts now 🙂
